February 5—An advertizement placed in the New York Gazette, Revived in the Weekly Post Boy read, "To Be Sold. The five following Lots of Ground in this City, viz.: One Lot fronting Nassau-Street, near Gold-Street, 30 Feet and a half Front, and 69 Feet back; One other Lot fronting Ann-street, right back of the other, and is 22 Feet front, and 60 feet back; Two other Lots fronting Gold-street, 20 Feet front each, and from 49 Feet and a half to 48 Feet deep; And one other adjoining to the Two last, 20 Feet front on Gold-street, and 47 Feet deep, fronting Ann street. Any Person inclining to purchase any of the said Lots, may apply to Daniel Bounticon, in the Smith's Fly, who will dispose of the same on reasonable terms." [86]

1751 January—Daniel Bontecou was elected treasurer of the French Reformed Church in New York City. [86]

October 22—At the French Reformed Church in New York City Marquize (LeBoyteulx) Bontecou, her position substituded by her neice Marie Hastier, was a sponsor at the baptism of Elie, the son of Elie Pelletreau and Rachel Ball; the other sponsor was Jean (John) Hastier. [5]

1754 November—Daniel Bontecou resigned his position as treasurer of the French Reformed Church in New York City. [86]

April 28—At the French Reformed Church in New York City Marquize (LeBoyteulx) Bontecou was a witness at the wedding of her neice, Marie Hastier, to John Basset. [5]

March 12—At the French Reformed Church in New York City Marquize (LeBoyteulx) Bontecou was a witness at the wedding of her neice, Elizabeth Hastier, to William Lucy. [5]

May 30—At a meeting for the French Reformed Church in New York City Daniel Bontecou and eleven other gentlemen were elected to a committee being charged, along with the elders of the church, to "enter into a correspondence with the Consistory of the Walloon Church of Amsterdam, with a view to securing a new minister; and should their efforts fail there, to address themselves to the company of pastors and professors of Geneva." This was perhap the beginning of a long running dispute in the French Church between parties headed by Daniel Bontecou and Mr. Vallade.—SEE source for an explaination of the dispute. [5]

July 22—At a ceremony held at the house of Marie Bonnet and performed by the minister of the French Reformed Church, Daniel Bontecou was a witness to the wedding of Jacques Buvelot and Marie Bonnet, widow. [5]

June 29— Marking the culmination of a dispute that had lasted the past couple years, Daniel Bontecou, and his faction of the members of the French Church, forcibly took possession of that church. However, loosing in their attemp to gain legal possession of the church, Daniel Bontecou would quit that congregation.—SEE source for an explaination of the dispute. [86]

Summer—M. du Simitiere had a conversation with Daniel Bontecue and in his writings du Simitiere related the following: "I knew this gentleman (Daniel) very well for many years. In the summer of the year 1770 being in company with him, he told me that he was born at La Rochelle and the descendant of the famous Dutch navigator Bontecoe, that his parents fled from france for the sake of religion when he was an infant, that they went to England, and soon after came over to New York, that he had then resided there 82 years, that about the latter end of the last century he went on a voyage to the Spanish main in the West Indies, but had not been from New York since his return from thence. Mr. Bontecoe was many years and elder of the French Church in New York, at the above mentioned time he enjoyed a good health, sound judgement and tolerable memory. He Complained that his sight fail'd him a little." [86]

1772 January—Marquise LeBoyteulx, wife of Daniel Bontecue Sr. died at New York City. [1]

1772 January 12—Marquise LeBoyteulx, "wife of Daniel Bonticau", was buried in the graveyard of the Dutch Reformed Church in New York City. 

1773

November 25—The New York Gazette and the Weekly Mercury published a notice that read, "A few days ago died aged 92, Mr. Bonticout, a French gentleman, many years an inhabitant of this city." [86]
